I have a Sigma 9VE also, and I’ve found that sleeping with the pistol under your pillow can be accomplished quite comfortably by getting some of that “egg-carton” style foam (the stuff they used to put on hospital beds, also similar to the inside of gun storage cases) and putting that in between your pillow and the gun.
